What else can affect my eligibility?

There are a few other factors that lenders will look at to see if you are eligible - we've listed some of the main ones below:

Your Credit is Bad

If you are currently on a debt management plan, have been declared bankrupt in the past year or have more than one CCJ, you may not be approved for a short-term loan.

You are unemployed

All responsible lenders have a duty to ensure you can repay the loan and not get into financial difficulty. People that are unemployed or don't work at least 16 hours per week are therefore unlikely to get credit.

You don’t have a bank account

Online lenders typically pay directly and automatically into a borrower’s bank account. Lenders will also use bank account details to verify your ID and sometimes your affordability. Therefore, if you don’t have a bank account you are less likely to be offered a loan.
